About MeI grew up in the tiny village of Carpenter, SD - population: 7. My family has owned and operated a large land and cattle farm since 1883. I moved to Brookings in 2009 to attend South Dakota State University for Education, and have since made Brookings the place I call home.
Additionally, I attended Dakota State University in Madison for a year to complete my academic career in elementary education. Upon graduation, I was a substitute teacher with the Brookings School District for a year. In 2015, I accepted my current position at Camelot Intermediate School as a 4th grade teacher. In my free time, I enjoy baking and being outdoors. My favorite activity is spending time with my husband, our 2 young children, Sebastian and Priscilla, and our 3 dogs. |
The Purple Team |
Our 4th grade is made up of 3 color-coded teaching teams. Each team consists of a technology teacher, a math teacher, a reading teacher, and a social studies/science teacher. Students have a homeroom, and then move throughout the day to the other 3 sections.
I am the purple team Technology teacher. My team members include: Mr. Mark Stolt (Math), Mrs. Beth Nelson (Reading), and Mrs. Sarah Stoltenberg (Social Studies/Science). |
